The wine shows good complexity and smooth tannins with red cherry, dark fruits, vanilla, black pepper, and floral notes taking turns in the glass. The bright fruit core of this four-year-old wine hints at the potential for extended ageing. Decant for an hour. 100 cases made.

Aleteo Wine Information
Not many New World producers hold wines for four years before release but that is what we do with Los Vencejos Aleteo, our Reserve Tempranillo. This single-vineyard wine spends two years in French and American oak barrels and then we age it two years in bottle. Aleteo is Spanish for wingbeat and we thought it was a name that conveyed what we look for in this wine- a combination of elegance and energy. We will only make this wine in the best years.
